깨과자 Korean style sesame seed cookies

Ingredients

-1 teaspoon baking soda

-1 teaspoon hot water

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-1 cup butter (don't substitute it!)

-2 whisked eggs

-3/4 cup brown sugar

-3/4 cup sugar

-3/4 cup roasted sesame seeds

-3 cups flour

 

Directions

1.  Mix the butter with the brown sugar and the simple sugar until you obtain a foamy cream, then add the whisked eggs and mix again.  

2. Add the baking powder, the hot water and the vanilla extract and mix, then add the flour and the roasted sesame seeds and mix again until you get a stiff dough; cover the dough, place it in a chill place and let it there until it becomes firm.

3. Make little balls from the dough and place them on a tray with baking paper at about 5 cm apart, then press on every ball to obtain little disks.

 

4.  Place the cookies in a preheated oven and bake them at 325 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy!
